Description A photograph of the Hudson Methodist Episcopal Church built in 1858 on Franklin and McLean Streets.

The founding date according to the Official Journal-Yearbook of the Central Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church is 1831. Church meetings were held in homes and the schoolhouse from 1829 to 1845 when the first church building was built near the Haven's (West) Cemetery. The present church building was built in 1858 on the corner of Franklin and McLean Streets.
